In Loving Memory - Kevin Gallagher

Orleans Minor Hockey has lost a coach, a mentor and a friend. Our community was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Kevin Gallagher on Sunday, July 10. 

 

Kevin has been a fixture in our arenas for over 25 years, even during times of poor health. His gentle smile and calming demeanour will be remembered fondly by all those who have had the pleasure of coaching with him or who have been coached by him.

 

Although Kevin was taken from us far too soon, we take some comfort in knowing that he was able to keep an active role, sharing his love of hockey right up until his passing. Kevin was still mentoring other coaches and board members while serving as OMHA's Vice-President. His shoes will be hard to fill.

 

Kevin was a special man who truly made those around him feel listened to and respected. He was dearly loved and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
