Orleans Defeats League Leaders to Extend Winning Streak!!!

Metcalfe scored at 07:30 of the first..slap shot from the point that was re-directed in front of the net that beat Justin blocker side.

 

Then at the 2:36 mark of the first, Cole coming from the right wing, took a pass at their blue line from Justin C., then took a couple steps and fired a low shot along the ice that beat their goalie on the blocker side.

 

No scoring the second but throughout the game Justin was forced to make 3-4 saves on clear breakaways. He played his strongest game of the season in my opinion.

 

Third period continued with more strong play on both sides with both goalies making some key saves to keep the game tied. At the 5:56 mark of the final frame, Vincent fed a pass to Mark at the blue line. Coming into their zone on left  wing, Mark faked a slapshot and slid the puck between the defenceman's feet then fired a snapshot glove side to give us the lead. Metcalfe pulled their goalie with 1:10 left but could not muster any decent pressure and our boys were able to hang on for the win.
