RUSH Tame Cougars in Best Game of the Season to Date!!!

From the opening puck drop, it was clear that the boys in blue came to play at Earl Armstrong last night. Every single player skated his heart out and played his best game contributing to a fantastic team effort all around. The RUSH moved the puck well, made smart decisions and consistently won the battles all night long. After a scoreless first frame, the boys broke things wide open at the 4:40 mark of the second stanza when Dom kept the disc in from the left point, unleashing a hard, low shot on net. A couple boys pounced on the rebound and after a whack or two, Justin put the biscuit in the cupboard for tally number one. Goalie Seb kept the Cougars off the scoresheet next with a terrific glove save. Not long after, Cole demonstrated an amazing individual effort, dumping the puck in just wide of the opposition net but chasing after the disc like a banshee. He won the race to the puck behind the goal and quickly pulled the rubber out front and stuffed it in. Only a couple of minutes later, Dom kept the puck in the offensive zone and ripped a shot on net. The juicy rebound came right to Vincent who made no mistake and buried his opportunity. The boys were up 3-0 heading into the third.

A continued solid effort in the third put the RUSH in a good position to knock off the strong Gloucester Centre team. The Cougars would claw back with a marker of their own with a screen shot from the point with a little over four minutes to go. GC pulled it's goalie but with only a few seconds left in the match, Cameron sealed the deal with an empty net beauty and Orleans finished up with a 4-1 triumph.
