Orleans Wild! hosted the Bantam boys team for Ithaca NY. An exciting game saw Orleans pull ahead while Ithaca fought back with the game ending in a 5 -5 draw.
Visiting Ottawa for Winterlude 2013, the Ithaca Bantam team stopped by Orleans for a friendly international match on Saturday, Feb 16th. The boys were evenly matched in skill and speed, and provided an exciting game for all the spectators.
Coming off a slower start, the NY State crew came back from 3 - 0 with 4 straight unanswered goals in less than 7 minutes!
Orleans pushed back, coming close on a disallowed goal by #2 Shaw. The game ended up as a 5 - 5 tie.
The Ithaca crew moved on to sample some local pizza and - naturally - go for a skate on the Rideau Canal.
Well done to both teams.
