About OMHA
OMHA Executive Board of Directors
- The OMHA Board of Directors is the consensus decision making team that support all of the OMHA’s teams.
- Everyone on the OMHA Board is a volunteer. The executives make best efforts to meet on a monthly basis for eleven (11) months of the year, including an Annual General Meeting (AGM), that is held in April of each year.
- OMHA Board of Directors members contribute multiple hours to our association every week. During certain times of the season (e.g. evaluations) this can approach 40 hours a week.
- OMHA Board of Directors members work to objectively carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
- OMHA Board of Directors members seek to deal with all matters in a constructive manner while respecting the dignity of others, and making decisions for the good of all association members.
- OMHA Board of Directors members are focused on the development of players and committed to see that all players are given the same opportunities to participate.
- OMHA Board of Directors members are devoted to ensuring that winning is kept in the proper perspective; important, but secondary to skill development and having fun.
- OMHA Board of Directors members are dedicated problem solvers who always aim for a positive solutions to the challenges that present themselves at the association level.
- OMHA Board of Directors members encourage and expect parents, coaches, players, officials, and spectators associated with the OMHA to support our objectives for respect, fairness, equity, and player development.
- The OMHA Board of Directors must ensure that all volunteers are properly certified as per Hockey Canada's requirements.
- The OMHA Board of Directors is the Association’s link to Hockey Canada, via Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) and the Gloucester Hockey Association (GHA).
